ChatGPT + Ample: deploy apps from ChatGPT | Ample
The short version
To deploy from ChatGPT, add Ample as a custom MCP server on ChatGPT's Plugins page with the URL https://api.ample.computer/mcp, choose OAuth, and sign in with your email. ChatGPT can then plan, deploy and check apps on Ample and show the live URL.
Set up ChatGPT for Ample
- 1
Add Ample as a connector
On chatgpt.com open Plugins > + > Add custom MCP server, name it Ample, paste this URL as the server URL and choose OAuth. Then install it from your personal plugins and mention it with @ in a chat.
https://api.ample.computer/mcp
- 2
Sign in
Ample asks for your email and sends a 6-digit code; a new email gets a Free account. Then approve the connection.
- 3
Ask it to deploy
The deploy waits until the app is live or failed and returns the URL. On failure the result says who must act and suggests a fix.
@Ample deploy a small landing page and give me the URL.
Example prompts
- @Ample list my apps.
- @Ample why did my last deploy fail?
- @Ample create a Postgres database for my app.
Notes
- Custom MCP servers are available in ChatGPT on the web; workspace permissions apply.
- For code on your own machine, Codex is the better fit: see Codex + Ample.
